Wordless Wednesday -- Aci Castello

Photo from the Catania Facebook Fan Page

This pretty town, Aci Castello, is in the province of Catania, Sicily.  It gets its name from the famous Norman castle, which was built in 1076.

  2. Astrid, you taught me something today. I had no idea there were Normans in Sicily, I associated them only with Norther France and England.
